Mother Nature

The wind howls, the snow drifts
The lonely cold of winter sifts
Through our mind like ashes
Through a sieve.

The clouds part, the sun breaks
And on the snow a mural makes
A glowing pulse that shows us
We yet live.

That’s great, Susan! Wish I could rhyme–or reason.
